Worx Chainsaw Review - Features of the WORX WG303.1 16-Inch Chainsaw

WORX WG303.1 16-Inch Chainsaw

Along with the usual safety features the WG303.1 chainsaw also comes with some features that you wouldn't expect for a sub $100 electric chainsaw.

  • Tool-free tensioning system.  WORX have developed their tensioning system to ensure that the WG303.1 electric chainsaw is never over-tightened.
  • Serious about safety.  The built-in chain brake prevents kickback injury and secures the chain safely for sharpening.
  • Automatic oil lubrication system.  No need to maintain lubrication of the saw chain as this is automatically done.  Simply fill up the oil and the WORX WG303.1 lubricates the chain as it goes.  Just check the oil gauge and you're good to go.
  • Reduced kickback.  Thanks to the 3/8" pitch the kickback of the chainsaw is hugely reduced allowing for better control and cutting performance.

Advantages of the WORX WG303.1 16-Inch Chainsaw

The WORX WG303.1 corded electric chainsaw is a fantastic chainsaw at a fraction of the cost of the gas and battery operated chainsaws.  There are many advantages.

  • Enhanced control and cutting performance means more precision cutting all from an electric chainsaw.
  • The rubberized rear handle offers comfort and control.
  • There's no need to fill up on the awkward gas/oil combination fuel as you can enjoy clean electricity from a standard power outlet.

Although overwhelmingly positive, there were some users who claimed that the self-lubrication system leaked oil when the WG303.1 chainsaw was in storage.  Many other users rectified their problems by storing the chainsaw on it's side to stop this oil leak.  According to the manufacturers, WORX, they have stated that this is usual in this auto-lubrication system and only a very small amount of oil is wasted when the chainsaw is stored.

For this Worx Chainsaw Review you can see that for under $100 you really can't go wrong with the WORX WG303.1 corded electric chainsaw.  It provides clean, stable electric power throughout it's cutting use and is self-lubricating.  The combination of no fuel to mix, no maintenance and the price tag really boosts WORXs reputation as possibly one of the best electric chainsaws available today.
